However\, all businesses\, including small businesses can have a purpose driven strategy. This is even more of an imperative as ESG becomes more popular with large businesses and as a result\, they have similar expectations of their suppliers. Being purpose driven is not something just for large companies\, small businesses are positioned perfectly to launch and lead social impact initiatives. During this fireside chat\, business owners will be given specific steps to find a clear path to creating meaningful impact through their company. \n  \nOUR SPECIAL GUESTS \n\n\n\n\n\nTameka Montgomery\nCEO\, Core Strategy Partners Inc.\nTameka Montgomery is the founder and CEO of Core Strategy Partners Inc.\, a mission-driven research and strategy firm focused on helping leaders find a clear path to drive inclusive economic change that advances small business and workforce development for diverse stakeholders. Prior to founding Core Strategy Partners\, Tameka was appointed by President Barack Obama to lead the Office of Entrepreneurial Development at the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this role she was responsible for an appropriated budget of more than $160M to advance entrepreneurship programs across the nation including the Women’s Business Center program\, SCORE\, and the Small Business Development Center program. Tameka established policies\, guided program design and management\, interfaced with congressional leaders\, and structured cross sector strategic partnerships. A mission driven leader\, Tameka combines her entrepreneurial spirit with her drive to have a positive social impact in the world. Her experiences and accomplishments reveal a dedication to solving problems through a human-centered approach with a focus on achieving results through strategic thinking and disciplined execution. Tameka’s passion for business and the social sector has allowed her to successfully navigate government\, non-profit\, and private sectors. Early in her career\, Tameka worked in government working across sectors to design strategies that brought about shared value. Later she launched one of Denver’s first small business incubators and went on to lead a nationally recognized\, award-winning Denver Metro Small Business Development Center. Merging her passions for business and civic engagement\, Tameka served as the Executive Director of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation\, an organization focused on fostering business civic leadership.Tameka is a graduate of Spelman College and Columbia University and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Johnson and Wales University.
